2.5mg oral minoxidil every other day?

Would 2.5mg oral minoxidil work or is it recommended daily? What about splitting it to 1.25 and taking it daily instead on a lower dose?

My main reason is the price, it does not exist in Sweden and is bought from Minoxidilexpress, 70 euro for 90 tablets (3 months) which can get pricey.

Anyone seen results on lower dose?
