Controller no longer charges with the statik cable i've been using since the beginning.

Hi all woke up today and was about to play something but i noticed that my controller was out of charge, usually no big deal but today it decided to not work/detect the usual charging cable. Mind you i've been using this cable since i bougth my ps5 and up to today it's been working as intended. I've tried a few things like switching the outlet the cable is attached to but it still doesn't work. I know it's not the cable because it charges everything else and i know it's not the controller either because it charges hooked up to the console and through other cables (but they are too small to be of any actual use). Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? It a statik cable if that helps at all.

EDIT: problem fixed itself. Idk anymore, i remain as puzzled now as i was at the start
