How to 2D vtuber?

So I do a lot of drawing and such so I want to make my own 2D vtuber model as ive bene using a 3D models for the longest time and wanna switch it up. Currently in the drawing phase and would like to keep the sections seperate as I draw so I dont need to cut them later... how many pieces and what parts should I cut to rig properly. I hope this made sense lol any advice helps tbh
