Looking to branch out. What are the best books you’ve read in the last 5 years? (More in post)

Hey guys,

I’m looking to branch out, but I’m not sure where to start. So I’m asking you all what the best books you’ve read in the last 5 years were.

Also, to avoid this becoming a sausage fest, I would like to know 1 book for each of the following:

• Best book you’ve read in the last 5 years written by a woman?
• Best book you’ve read in the last 5 years written by a man?
• Best book you’ve read in the last 5 years written by someone gender nonconforming? (I understand that the author selection here is smaller, so if you can’t answer this one, skip it).

And if you feel so inclined, maybe tell me a bit about what you loved about each book!
