Question from a senior high school student regarding college courses.

Hello, mags–start na kasi ang klase namin next tuesday. I decided to enter HUMSS strand kasi it has always been my interest ever since. However, nagkakaroon ako ng dilemma ngayon kung mag–STEM ba ako or mag-stay na lang sa strand ko kasi iniisip ko benefits of practicality if you‘re a STEM student. My questions are:

• Is my decision correct by following my passion instead of practicality? (I love STEM too, pero lamang yung love ko sa HUMSS) • Required ba na aligned yung strand sa course? (As what I’ve said, gusto ko talaga HUMSS but to be fair i still see myself choosing non-humss related course sa college. possibly.)
