The Roottrees are Dead, a game inspired by Obra Dinn is getting a remake with entirely new art, and interface improvements.

Hey all!

I posted my Obra Dinn inspired puzzle game, the Roottrees are Dead here in November and this subreddit's thread and the one on the Obra Dinn subreddit ended up being a significant portion of my traffic for the first few weeks, So first of all, thank you! The game has done a lot better than I could have ever guessed, and so many of you had kind things to say.

As many of you know, the itchio version is free due to its reliance on AI art. It also was built as a game jam game, so it had some issues with interface that I didn't have the ability to change without major reworks.

So now, we're doing those major reworks. Switching to a new engine, hiring artists to replace all the AI art, and reworking the entire interface to make it a lot easier to play.

I just announced this today and wanted to share the steam page with anyone who did or didn't play the first version and was interested in taking a look at our new trailer.
