adhd meds & pregnant

I’m currently 25ish weeks along with a baby girl. I have two children, but was not diagnosed with ADHD until 6 months after I had my second. Since then (almost 2 years) I’ve been on Adderall XR 30mg, however when I first found out about this pregnancy, I stopped taking the meds. My PCM, OB, and Midwives all said it would be okay, but this pregnancy is after a loss, and I was having some concerning hCG draws in the beginning, so I wanted to stop them to play it safe.

Fast forward to now, 25ish weeks along, I am STRUGGLING. My frustration tolerance is insanely low (it was pre medication but is just getting worse), I get brain fogged in the middle of a sentence, my adhd “paralysis” is like no other, except sitting on my couch overstimulates me cause my kids like to crawl all over me a bunch, so I find myself just standing around doing nothing. I decided to make an appointment with my doctor, and told her I’d feel comfortable starting up my adderall, however I want to breast feed again and don’t wanna nurse a newborn on adderall. So she changed my meds to Ritalin 40mg, I’ve taken a few doses and it feels so nice to be back to normal. But now I can’t help but feel guilty for re starting meds again - I know my doctors all say it’s okay, but I think this being a pregnancy after a loss is just having me in my head. Just looking for reassurance - anyone else who’s taken adhd meds in pregnancy, how did everything turn out? If you nursed on them too, I’d love to hear about that. I nursed my second on Adderall but he was much older, around 9-10 months when I started.
