People who have successfully lost weight/fat, if you were to start over with all the knowledge you have gained till now about the same, what were the exact steps you would take to lose approximately 25 pounds in the next 6 months.

For context I am 23 years old and weigh 200 pounds. I have been struggling with weight loss and hating my body since I was a kid. I struggle with eating healthy and I have never ever exercised.

I have tried diets and going to the gym but I have never managed to stick through for longer than a week. I have become a very whiny person because of my weight as I am under constant stress about it. I don't remember a time when I was not stressed about my weight. I hope someone here has been through this and has gotten out of it and has some practical advice for me.
