Should purchases of btc on cex be labelled "Deposit" or do I manually change it into a "Trade" and enter the cost in USD?
When I import my csv file from Coinbase, my purchases show up as "Deposits" even though I purchased them. Some purchases were bought directly from linked banked account, while others were purchased with USD wired into Coinbase first. I'm a bit confused on what needs to be done.
* When I click on the tx inside Koinly, details of the tx appears. Where it says "Fiat value" the correct amount I purchased for does appear. It says "This market value was set manually or imported" Is this the same thing and treated as the cost basis?
edit: I manually changed it to a trade from USD to BTC and now it clearly shows that "Cost basis" was the dollar amount I purchased for. What's the right way to do it? It would be a pain to manually change all of these, but if this is the way I'd need to do it so if someone can let me know would greatly appreciate.
