I watched Enter the Florpus today. Here’s my review.
I thought the movie was pretty good. I liked the comedy and the action was pretty cool. The opening narration by Dib was hilarious. And I liked the heartwarming moments, like Gaz bringing Dib’s spirits back up, and Membrane telling Dib he’s always been proud of him. I also thought it was cool how Membrane and Mini-Moose had a big role in the story. I loved how Mini-Moose played a key role in Zim’s plan, I wasn’t expecting him to be Zim’s secret weapon. I thought the Almighty Tallest’s fate was pretty funny and fitting, especially with their obsession with puppets. The part where they started shifting into alternate dimensions and their designs changed over and over was awesome. And I thought the characters were written accurately. However, I do have some criticisms. One big criticism is how the beginning of the movie is just a copy of the first issue of the comic series. I mean, does that mean the comics are just an alternate dimension? Another criticism I have is the ending. I liked how the story ends for the Tallest, but I was hoping to see the story get a real conclusion, not end with the “And the Adventure Continues” trope. I also think it could’ve used more Gir. Like at least give him a couple more minutes of screentime. I was surprised Miss Bitters didn’t even make a non-speaking cameo. It was also sad that Tak was absent.
