I got scammed. I feel so dumb.

I left my flat in Hyd for rent, advertised for it in NoBrokers. Today there was an army guy " Deepak Pawar" who called me from Delhi, said that he was getting transferred to Hyd and will move here on Sep 1. He shared his aadhar, pan card, army canteen card too. Had his family in DP.

He said he was ready to pay half the deposit. Told me that he army will bear 20% of the deposit so asked for my GPay number. Then he asked me to send him 2K as a processing fee, after which he said 2K was too low and asked for 10k. I sent that as well.

I had a bad feeling. I was rushed through this whole process. I am beyond shocked. Will a police complaint resolve this? Please help.
