Would this be breaking the curfew rules?

Let's say a wizard figured out a way to conjure a dummy of themselves that they can basically control like a character in a VR game. They control the body and see and hear what it sees and hears, but it damaged or at will just vanishes. The wizard can use this as basically a drone and use to just wander around.

Would that be breaking the rules since the real them never left their dorm? It's basically just astral projection but with a a physical body that can bring things back for you. Someone could use it to just wander around without leaving anywhere or being in danger and if the dummy takes a hit it vanishes into nothing.
