How many of you send invoices to clients? If so which platform do you use?
I’m just starting out. Brand spanking new at this whole handyman thing but after making my first $600 doing a little landscaping and power washing I’m hooked. I have three more jobs lined up this week. Despite my enthusiasm I know there’s a lot of things that can go wrong doing work like this so I’m trying to cross my T’s and dot my I’s. I think this has the potential to be a great source of extra income for my family so I want to do it right. So for the time being, I’m only agreeing to small odd jobs, under $1000. I have plans of opening up an LLC, getting and EIN number, and a business bank account soon, along with proper insurance. But for the time being do you think it’s wise for me to send invoices to customers for the small jobs I’m starting with? I’d love to hear how you do it and what your system is. So far, I’ve downloaded the Contractor+ app and I’ve been pretty amazed by what you can do with the free “basic” account. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
