Complete confusion by leadership over OPM email

Saturday night We are told by mid management to standby and not reply to the OPM email

12:58pm Sunday from top management We get a lengthy saying the email is legit, (and to not report as spam) and to comply, and that you won’t be penalized if you were on leave.

4:57pm Sunday from top management “Team, You may have received a message this weekend from OPM requesting information. Management will respond on behalf of the department and all of its component offices. No reporting action from you is needed at this time. For now please pause any responses outside of your chain of command.”

What an unnecessary clown show.
