Are the other books as spicy-less?

I just finished ACOTAR book 1 and to say that 2 “explicit sex” scenes were underwhelming is an understatement. I was sold that the series was very spicy and so on, and I felt like reading some erotic thing at the moment I chose to read this.

When Tamlin was introduced as a beast I was like “ok, the sexy scenes here are going to good”. But then, the sexual tension wasn’t really build as solid. Having read other good smut books, like Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty saga, or Lady Chatterley’s Lover, my expectations were sky high.

I was waiting the whole book to have a proper smut scene like I was sold here, but it never came (pun intended).

Nevertheless, I will keep reading the rest of the series because the fantasy story was appealing, but I want to set my expectations to a more realistic approach.
