Is there an efficient way to battle in pve?

Like what do you guys use first when battling bosses and mobs? Would using a feint be better than using a blade? Or does the order not matter? And how many blades and traps are necessary, because I be using a lot of traps and blade and I feel like I’m just wasting time.
