MGM Resorts & BetMGM Strengthen Responsible Gambling Initiatives with Research & Awareness Programs
MGM Resorts and BetMGM are enhancing their commitment to responsible gambling through increased funding, strategic research collaborations, and expanded awareness efforts.
As part of this initiative, MGM Resorts is donating $180,000 to the Kindbridge Research Institute to support studies on sports betting behavior and gambling harm prevention. Concurrently, BetMGM is rolling out its Kindbridge Behavioral Health referral program nationwide, ensuring players across all its markets have direct access to specialized mental health support.
Throughout March, in recognition of Problem Gambling Awareness Month, BetMGM will intensify responsible gaming messaging across its digital platforms and retail sportsbooks via GameSense. Developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, GameSense incorporates responsible gaming reminders and QR codes linking to helpful resources. Additionally, GameSense Advisors will be available at MGM Rewards desks and BetMGM Sportsbooks to offer direct assistance.
Further strengthening its commitment, MGM and BetMGM are partnering with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to educate law students on the regulatory aspects of responsible gambling. They are also contributing $60,000 to state gambling councils and expanding employee training programs to promote responsible gaming practices across their operations.
