Your body needs carbs. Diet culture glazes protein and demonizes carbs.
I had an incredibly high protein breakfast. Around 84 grams. A premier protein shake, 2 nonfat greek yogurts covered in drizzilicious bites and fruits with some sugar free maple syrup, and a bag of quest chips.
I then went for a run, and I barely had ANY energy. I was getting out of breath very fast.
I came back, ate a bowl of pasta (a heavily demonized dish), a fruit bowl, and a tiny bit of chocolate (oh great heavens). Pasta AND chocolate?!
I’m running now listening to Sleep Token and I’m going SO fast. I’m PUMPED with energy. I feel like the flash.
Of course protein is important but don’t be scared of carbs. Proteins are building blocks and good for long term results, but short term energy is just as important. I feel amazing.
Don’t listen to those idiot gym bros who only gorge on protein, demonize carbs, and make up for the lack of energy by chugging heart attack inducing energy drinks pumped with artificial sweeteners.
