VIP Tour With Kids -- still have to rider swap?

Hi, we just got back from our Disney World vacation -- 1st for our 5 and 8 year old girls and first for my husband and myself in decades (went as kids). We are already planning our next one! 😆 Anyway, we are toying with the idea of doing VIP one day on our next trip, but one main incentive for us is so that my husband and I would be able to ride together on rides that our kids don't want to or can't. In other words, can our girls stay with the guide while hubby and I ride Tron? 😁
