Dovpo Blotto has a weird taste kinda muted/metallic flavor? Does the screw affect flavor?

So I just got the Blotto RTA (The original not mini or single) and been experimenting with wrapping coils (new to vaping and rebuildables) and tried making a few parallel coils for a single coil build, and I always use one side of the posts however the taste is abit weird like i can taste abit of my juice but theres always something muted kinda like airy or metallic along with the taste. When i was using my different parallel coils, sometimes when dry burning it the coil catches on fire/legs get hot and inside the holes you put the legs and screw them in, the inside of em makes smoke/vapor? Is the screw or the inside of the post affected and does it affect flavor?

So I tried putting the coil legs in the other post and that metallic/airy taste is gone.

So the one post side I frequently used where now the flavor is weird, Is it the screws that have been burned by my shit made parallel coil legs or is that side completely out of business for flavor?
