Looking for help RCM_a094

Some needed context but I’ll keep it short. I traded another vehicle for a 2019 m3 standard plus which had a salvage title. I’m no stranger to salvage vehicle and don’t mind fixing up a lot of little things to make it nice. I am new to Teslas however.

I had to get a brake and lamp inspection to register, they didn’t want to pass it until this warning was fixed as it had to do with safety. I haven’t been able to register this car to my Tesla account since I don’t have registration and I can’t get registration until the inspection is done. See the circle?

I’ve looked through several forums and the common theme seems to be the rear middle belt buckle wire gets sheared. I’ve had it apart and inspected all 3 buckles in the rear and they seem to be perfectly fine. All wire around the rear seat are undamaged and have clean connections.

Short of buying a new buckle on eBay or something and plugging it in and hoping for the best, I don’t know what the next step is.

Since I can’t register it to my Tesla account I can’t make a service appt or even buy parts from Tesla. I’m unfamiliar with the service mode built in but maybe there’s a way in the to have it give me more info?

Anything helps, thank you
