What should I do with my sleeves?

I’m quite new to Pokémon card collecting, and my goal at the end is to complete the entire Pokédex.

I sleeve all of my cards before I put them in the binder, but my sleeves are too tall for page pockets. At first I figured it would be okay to just fold them at the top and put it in, and it works pretty well. But then I started thinking about how it might add extra pressure to all of the cards, and how that might bend the cards in the long run. So maybe the better option would be to cut every single sleeve at the top before I put the cards in the binder.

So my question is then: am I overthinking this and it’s not really a problem? Is it okay to keep them this way, or should I take my time to cut the sleeves?

Getting new sleeves is not an option as I currently have like 400 of them that are not in use yet.
