My Laptop Got Wet—Help! What Should I Do Next?
So, my laptop got wet, and I’m freaking out about what to do next.
Water was spilled on it and the first thing I did was shut it down as quickly as possible. Thankfully, I had already disabled fast boot. I immediately removed it from the table, dried it with toilet paper, and propped it up vertically on my bed to let it drain.
Now, I’m really worried about whether it’ll survive until tomorrow. I’m not sure what else to do—should I just leave it like this for a few hours, or is there something more I should be doing?
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
-Shut it down immediately.
-Dried the exterior with toilet paper.
-Placed it vertically to let any liquid drain.
- I can’t remove the battery because I don’t have the tools for it.
I’d really appreciate any advice or tips from anyone who’s been through this before. Should I go to a repair shop and open it up? Or just leave it alone for a while?
Thanks in advance!
