Who is Imu-sama similar to in real history?
I did a lot of research in history to try to find who Imu is most similar with, and I came to the conclusion that Augustus, the son of Julius Caesar, is the closest Imu can be compared with.
Augustus made it look like the government (Senate) had control over the "republic," but behind the scenes he was controlling everything. He was very careful to maintain the image of a republic so the people wouldn't turn on him. This is very similar to Imu, who controls everything behind the scenes, but to normal people it looks like their kings, etc. are deciding.
And not just that, there are even more similarities between them:
- Augustus never half-injured enemies; he made sure to totally erase them. This is very similar to Imu with the Void Century, Lulusia, etc.
- Augustus received the status of a god while he was alive, and even after his death people considered him a god for a very, very long time.
- Augustus ended the Roman Republic and created the Roman Empire. It could be that Imu also ended a more free government and created an empire.
- Augustus rewrote a lot of history and used propaganda to justify his actions.
What do you guys think about these similarities?
