Where I can live if I love mtb?

Hi all,

I'm from Italy and I have an Orbea oiz, I did a lot of Xcc and Xcm race in the north off Italy, and now I'm living in Adelaide,Australia. I like cycling here but I'm looking for a place with mountains and long climb/descent. Have you some suggest for a place with an active community of bikers, race during the year and mountain?

P.s enter in the US is difficult without sponsor, so I prefer other place! (Canada is fine but what about bears?).
