Predictions that turned out to be wrong
I had a couple predictions while reading the book, that I was so sure was gonna happen.
- I thought Wyatt's last words to Lou Lou was "go find Haymitch" because he knew he would protect her. The truth was so much worse
2.(this one i'm still not sure was totally wrong) Haymitch blowing up the water tank accidentally triggered the volcano to erupt earlier than the gamemakers were planning on. I thought the water tank only was there to boil the "lava" and eventually make it erupt. It still doesn't make sense to me that they would do that on day 3 (?) If this is true he probably blames himself for killing so many newcomers
I was so sure Wellie would use the poisoned dart to kill herself. She was so weakened and so scared and he just handed her a weapon with only one use left. I thought he would get back to her and feel responsible for giving her the weapon that caused her death. Still can't believe what actually happened instead.
I had a glimmer of hope that Lenore Dove somehow got away and was only thought to be dead.
