Holiday pay?

I just looked at my new schedule, and it appears that by coincidence I have been scheduled off for Christmas Eve, Christmas day, as well as the day after Christmas. I'd love to take advantage of the time spent with family, but does that stop me from getting paid holiday wages for Christmas day? I thought I heard before that you have to work on either the day before or after a holiday to get paid for the holiday.
