Roman shades/old/cleaning advice/can't take them down. 🤷♀️🤦♀️
Hi everyone! So excited to have joined this group! So I have 7 of these vintage roman shades that were here when I moved into my house that the previous owners had. They were an older couple so I'm not sure how old they are but when I saw the embroidered butterflies, I fell in love. I can't take them down though because I'm pretty certain I won't be able to get them back up again if I do. They're so yellow it's horrible. I'm hoping that someone has some cleaning tricks or advice for me. I've read so many conflicting things about to use steam or not, what to clean them with etc and at this point am afraid to try anything. All I have attempted has been spraying them with a hydrogen peroxide and water solution and seeing if the sun and hydrogen would work it's magic and lighten it.... ehhhh... I have tried to convince myself that theres improvement but realistically, I don't see a difference AT ALL. Any advice, tips, and feedback is much appreciated! I've included pics. The middle one is the worst shade put of the 7.
