Completed Merlin Trial via Bug

So prior to starting Merlin Trial through main quest route I was at the Dragon Bush located South of Aranshire, I proceeded to cast Incendio just once to the dragon right side, all of a sudden a cutscene started showing a random completed Merlin Trial platform and then it said I solved said Merlin Trial. I've yet to find the exact Trial completed (will update when found), all I know is my quest log says I Completed one.

   If there's anyone else who has had similar experiences or is willing to test this themselves, I would be very interested to hear what you think.
