Beginner here, would like advice

Hello, as the title says I’m a beginner, having no experience in HEMA or swords at all. I’d really like to learn Sabre, spears, rapier, and arming sword. I don’t have a car right now(I’m working on it), and the academy is pretty far. Watched a couple YouTube videos that mentioned manuscripts, did some digging and found some good ones. should I study the manuscripts and practice with those until I have transportation or not because it’ll install bad habits that are hard to get rid of? If yes, anyone have any good manuscripts recommendations for beginners?
