What are the best gold items to collect to uphold resell value and ease of reselling?

im new to collecting precious metals and hoping for advice. My reasons for collecting are as a form of insurance to have on hand in case of hardship. So precious metal items that are fairly easy to resell would be great. As of right now I have been focusing on 14k-18k jewelry. Thank you in advance!
