Does logging activities afterward not affect recovery hours correctly?

On Saturdays I figure skate for 2.5 hours, then do an hour long exercise class.

Usually that sends my recovery hours into some gnarly double digits. But that’s only if I remember to start the activity on my watch. If I forget to start it and have to log it afterward, it doesn’t affect my recovery hours.

My recovery hours currently shows 6 after logging after the fact and that and that is nottttt correct 😂😂

I used to use Whoop, and logging after the fact always correctly affected stress/strain and calculated the average hr. But logging afterward on Garmin doesn’t do any of that. Kinda a bummer
