Seeking Advice: Managing a Small Wasp Nest Near Children’s Party Area ASAP

I’m hosting my daughter’s party soon and noticed a small wasp nest, about the size of a large grape, near the food and kids’ area in our backyard. There are a few wasps on it. I have a European wasp trap and am considering setting it up. Is it safe to do so, or could it cause the wasps to become aggressive? Any advice on handling this situation would be greatly appreciated.
