Why isn't the Galaxy Ring counting my steps???
I only see people complaining that the ring is over counting their steps. I wish I had this problem! I walk on a treadmill throughout the day as I work to reach my 10k step goal. I was able to do this easily while wearing a watch, but I replaced it with the ring, as I don't like wearing the watch.
It hasn't been counting my steps. Even when I start the workout manually, the ring will record heart rate throughout the walk, but a ludicrously low number of steps (example: 189 steps for a 17-minute walk).
Just now, I tested it, and I realized the ring isn't even counting my steps! Checking the Samsung Health app frequently throughout my walk, I realized it only counted steps when I had my phone in my pocket. If I left the phone on my desk, it would count not one step, even as I continued walking.
I don't think it's broken. It detected a workout during my test, and I believe it records SOME steps SOMETIMES, but it's been impossible to reach my daily goal using this thing, maintaining my normal amount of walking. Is there a setting I'm missing?
