Pet Policy at Emory Point

I'm looking to move into a room at Emory Point for fall semester. However, the pet fee is very expensive. Hypothetically, would I be able to get away with sneaking my cat in? For instance, what are the chances of surprise checks, and would I be able to just tell them that I'm cat sitting for a few days? Again, this is all hypothetical :)
