Fans Vs Critics Reviews

I should preface this with the fact that I really enjoyed episode 1 of Original Sin, and found myself really impressed by the casting too.

Something I've noticed seemed to be that the majority of critics reviews seem to hate the episode, but the majority of fan chatter seems to be positive. It leaves me asking why?
