primal bonfire achievement not unlocking?

I've been trying to 100% the achievements but noticed the "Gulch bonfire" achievement never unlocked. I've tried going back to black Gulch and using it again to go to majula but it still won't unlock.

Would using a bonfire Ascetic to respawn the boss also reset the bonfire so it might unlock the achievement, would lighting the bonfire in ng+ work. Or am I just screwed and can't unlock it.

Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
