About the reasoning behind [...] design [chapter 184 spoilers]
The reasons behind Rin's outfit during her fighting mode seemed to went over some of our heads, so Tatsu directly pointed out the whole kerfuffle in this chapter.
It wasn't a "random" thing made with ill intent as some people has been saying. The outfit design is supposed to be embarrassing, at least for it to be until the latest chapter. It was because of Mai, she didn't have the chance to grow up, so her view of how an idol supposed to be probably stayed like that, it was a pure simple thought.
And there's a high chance that Rin's outfit would change after she'd became more familiar with her power or gotten stronger. We already knew about this when it was first introduced I believe, it was something like the more people support her, the prettier her outfit will be.
I'm glad Tatsu directly addressed it so the people who misinterpreted that as a weird random sexualized design get the reasons behind it. Yes, the fit looks stupid, I don't like it too, but that's the point. I really don't think her design came from a malicious place.
