The Costco Citi Card is Terrible

My experience has been terrible. We have great credit, multiple credit cards with high limits, and always paid on-time. We've had the Costco Citi card for 7 or 8 years, always paying it off. Over the last couple of years, We've even used it every day (mostly at gas stations or at Costco) and had over $520 in rewards,

One month before we could claim our rewards, our card was canceled with no warning. We found out while we were checking out at Costco. We thought it was a fraud issue, but customer service said they couldn't give us info until we received a letter from citi., which took a week to receive.

The whole time customer service was being rude. Everytime we would call, they refused to give us information about the account saying we had to wait for a letter, even after we received the first letter and tried to get the card reinstated (just to get our rewards back). They would tell us we needed to log into our account online, but we couldn't because Citi closed the account, so we lost online access. And yet, they wouldnt give us info over the phone. They also drug their feet when we tried to escalate it.

The letter said that it was canceled due to 1 or more payments being canceled/rejected within the last 12 months.

We added a new bank account from which to make payments, but the bank rejected the payment because I was the primary bank account holder, and my wife was the primary name on the Citi Card. It was a name mismatch. No history of missed payments or rejected payments, and it wasn't even due to insufficient funds (we paid off the balance a couple of weeks later)

Not only did we lose our rewards, but it was one of our oldest cards

We tried everything. We left negative reviews, called both Citi and Costco, sent letters, and filed complaints with Citi and on BBB. Absolutely no change. They wouldn't reinstate the card account (which we don't care about), nor would they give us our rewards saying we "lost" it (no Citi, you took them). The whole time, citi customer service has been rude.
