Long time guitarist, newly focused bassist, checking out basses for the first time. Any differences to the routine?
Usually when I check out a used guitar, I look along the neck to make sure its not warped, check the knobs for function/scratchiness, and check for dead frets (in addition to the obvious "do I like it?"). But I haven't looked at basses in close to 20 years, and I don't know if there are other things I should be looking for when I'm checking them out.
Any other tips?
