Starting My Gastric Sleeve Journey – Looking for Insight!

Hey everyone, I just had my consultation this past Friday, and I’m hoping to get my gastric sleeve surgery in mid-June! Right now, I’m 26 years old, 5’3”, and 487 pounds. I know that everyone’s journey is different, but I’ve noticed that most posts I see are from people starting in the mid-300s. I’d really love to hear from anyone who started at a higher weight—what was your experience like?

I know this isn’t an easy road, but I’m ready to take this step toward a healthier life. Any insights, advice, or personal experiences you’d be willing to share would mean a lot to me. Whether it’s about the pre-op process, recovery, or what life looks like post-surgery, I’m open to it all!
