The shift in attitude is amazing to watch
I've been here for almost a year now and the shift in attitude from "They haven't been the most open about things. Like not allowing people to make their own NFC tags, but we're sure they'll change their minds about that. At the latest when they release their actual solution to multicolor printing (instead of the stop gap fix that the AMS (lite) offers)." to "May their greedy corporate souls burn in hell for all eternity" is nothing short of mind blowing.
Like a few days ago, we had a happy community with an hopeful outlook. A new bigger, better printer on the horizon and general goodwill.
And now that's entirely gone. For very good reason. And honestly I applaud the community's response.
It just really sucks that there's no competition in terms of quality and ease of use for your money spent.
The one thing I'm kinda missing in our outcry is a peace offer. Like I know broken trust is hard to rebuild, but offering a kind of "we'll pretend it never happened if you go back to what was before" would certainly sweeten the deal. Because after all if they walk back now they're likely facing a hostile community without the benefits of their walled garden. Which compared to facing a hostile community with their walled garden is the worse deal.
But yeah anyways, those were my 2 cents. It's a shame they have no real comptetion and frankly that needs to change. Though I don't know how.
