Did we ever get anymore info on two republicans that tried to kill trump and almost succeeded?

Thomas Matthew Crooks and Ryan Wesley Routh both attempted to kill trump. They seem to have fallen out of public view after it was shown they were republicans.

Did we ever get any info on why they did it? I seem to remember one of them was upset about trump intentionally walking into the dressing room of naked underage girls but not if that was a rumor or verified.
