Can anyone help me get them in their tank safely?
Ive been thrown to the wolves on this one. A real sink or swim situation. I’ll try to keep it short, if you have any questions please ask. I’ve wanted a pair of clownfish forever, I’ve done weeks worth of research on clownfish and nano reefs. A friend of mine reached out, she said she could not take care of her clownfish anymore and I’m welcome to take the tank+ fish. She was right, she was NOT taking care of them at ALL (see last photo). I figured I’d have a couple days to gather supplies and plan a whole day for getting the tank. I had a very clear plan on how I would make this tank happen, and now that plan is completely out the window. She showed up at my house with an empty tank and the fish in a pet carrier. I told her I wasn’t ready yet and that’s NOT how I wanted to receive them. Basically got told to figure it out and it’s no longer her problem🤯. With the clock ticking, and my LFS closed for 2 days. I raced to petco to buy saltwater. of course they were out. So I bought a bag of salt mix and went across the street to buy 15 gallons of RO water and 4 buckets. I was up until 3 am mixing saltwater, washing crushed coral, and fixing broken components of the tank. She wasnt even using a heater! I woke up today at 6am with almost no sleep to try and figure this out. How can I get these guys into their new home ALIVE??
