My snails shell fell offff

We noticed it had cracks in its shell very early when we got it, but they became bigger. So I tried using eggshells in the tank but half its shell just broke off this morning and its been out the water since. I'm not sure if it can regenerate its shell what am I supposed to do poor baby

I'm not sure what kind of snail cashew is but looks a lot like an apple snail
