Starting a collectibles company

any advice for someone starting out in action figures?

i'm starting a collectibles company with my brother and good friend. we've secured a major license to start us off and we have dreams of celebrating every video game IP under the sun. but more than anything i want to get the products right for fans.. so with that in mind:

- what makers/manufacturers do you love and why?

- what are your favorite fandoms to collect?

- i often hear collector fans talk about "money grabs" and what a turnoff that is.. what have been some of the biggest ones you can remember?
